Every model with no per-token charge, live from the catalogue. Great for prototyping, side projects and high-volume simple tasks, as long as you stay inside the rate limits.
The catch: free models are real but rate-limited. Through OpenRouter the free tier is roughly 20 requests/minute and 200 requests/day with no credits needed. Free tiers can also have reduced context, slower routing, or data-training opt-ins, so read each provider's terms before building on one.
